From the American Midwest to the mountains of Oaxaca, the cowboy spirit runs deep for our founder, Jeff - a fifth-generation farmer. When Jeff and his daughter Sydney arrived in Oaxaca 15 years ago, the first thing they did was plant agave - continuing the family legacy of working the soil and honoring the land.
They recognized a familiar spirit. The grit, community, and reverence for the land they cherished were the very qualities that shaped life in Oaxaca. From that shared spirit, Catedral Mezcal was born: built on authenticity, partnership, and a belief that great things grow slowly, with intention and respect.
