Since the beginning of 2022, Abadía Retuerta has its own Protected Designation of Origin. A seal of quality recognised by the European Union and which endorses Abadía Retuerta wine as a product with a guarantee of origin, quality and tradition. It accredits the uniqueness of the soils of Abadía Retuerta and the maximum expression of its terroir, understood as the climatic and geographical characteristics that give unique qualities to its vineyard and grapes, and the personality of its wines. A quality, that of its wines, which shows its own identity and is governed by a single criterion: working with its own grapes, which come directly from its vineyards and made in its own winery.
